Look, I get it. You don’t like spiders. I don’t like spiders. I don’t like anything under the heading of “bug” or “creepy-crawly” or “argh, it’s moving, kill it!”
So maybe this week’s video isn’t for you. But if you’re brave, I’d like to introduce you to Tony. He’s our garden spider. I named him “Tony” as a pun on something that I now don’t remember, but I’m sure it was very clever. But whatever you want to call him, Tony is a fascinating creature: a spider with a yellow shield on its back; a spider that can build and rebuild its web under hostile rain and wind weather conditions. We have grown quite fond of Tony. He can stay. Unless he invites a host of friends and family to come join him. Then we’ll have to get the flame-thrower out.
