National German Chocolate Cake Day

I’m sure I don’t have to tell you that today is National German Chocolate Cake Day.

But I’d be happy to add, further, that German Chocolate Cake is not in fact German. It was named after (or “named for”, for my American audience) a man named “Sam German”. Mind blown? I hope so.
