In a previous post, I listed the things that most strike fear into the heart of our little hero. Now, in these dark and uncertain times, I’ve decided to balance that out with a new list of things – those things that make The Rev’s day.
- His mommy
- Snacks
- Mealtimes
- Naps
- The rest of his family
- Surprise meetings with other dogs
- A good chew toy
- The dog park
- Chasing after golf carts
- Hangin’ with the big dogs
- PetCo
- A good tummy rub of exactly the right duration in exactly the correct place
- Dry-weather walks
- The belief, no, the certainty, that one day these times of hatred, fear, and distrust will be behind us and we will learn to live in harmony. We may not ever see that day but just knowing that we are inexorably moving toward it is enough. It has to be.
